Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

i did a thing
ok i was super tired last night so i didnt finish writing the post so im doing it now
rain blocks!!! original idea by toop
works pretty much exactly like in the original pitch. it spawns rain droplet particles that despawn after a while, or on contact with blocks. it's only visible in god mode
UPDATE!! new textures and added snow particle block
since EE has a built in particle limit (45 by default, and just increasing this value LAGS the game) and theres an option to outright disable particles made me think a partial rewrite of the particle engine would be necessary to keep adding onto this idea and have thousands of particles onscreen with minimal effects on performance but im lazy and i think this is good enough
hope u like
cool!
This is pretty cool, would you mind if I added these to Project M?
dont mind go for it
now on that topic i should probably share the version of eeo i've been working on but im having my doubts since its mostly a big frankenstein of other stuff people have made (mainly kyyay's ok-8 as a template)
should reach out to those people and see if they're cool with that
what was it?
something about someone else making better textures. completely unrelated to the topic and clearly just posted to get a reaction
looking at their post history it just seems like something they would do so i decided to let it pass. this kind of behavior is what drove me away from the community to begin with; i always felt there would be at least one person who would unintentionally be an overall annoyance (im sure you can see what i mean by looking at their previous posts), making them an easy target for things like bait posts, adding to the overall toxicity
i decided to come back to the community with little to no intent to contribute in any social aspects of it. i just want to make stuff and share it. and it feels good to be back.
i've seen the idea of grid backgrounds around and figured i'd make a matching block pack for it, analogous to the checker blocks
here they are compared to the checker blocks, as well as their background equivalents
a quick and simple idea. so quick and simple in fact i implemented them in EEO (im too lazy to upload it so enjoy this ingame screenshot)
nothing too fancy i just enjoyed making these and wanted to share
the tiles were never supposed to be homogenized
honestly i dont think its a big deal they added a bunch of matching blocks since they didnt change any of the old ones
i gotta agree sure its a bit inconsistent here and there and back then i thought it was just a horrible choice, but since they kept the original ones as they are i just didnt care
a lil nitpick but soda doesnt extinguish the player. everything is way cool otherwise.
i've been tinkering around with this a lot, mainly just getting to know how to mod EE and stuff and i implemented this fix myself yay!
forgot to mention another thing i found is that redirect arrows dont seem to work when you have 0 gravity
say you have a setup like this:
(yes i was playing around changing textures and adding smileys. love the PAIN smiley (thx cola1))
ideally redirect arrows should redirect any input to the arrows direction but pressing up or down simply goes up or down
not sure if thats intended or not but that would make more sense right?
im not sure if this is a bug with the program of the database but for some reason piano tiles with a negative ID (pretty much anything below C3) becomes 0. this kinda (completely) ruined many music worlds and i was wondering if there was a fix for this
yo those are my push arrows! these are superb dude well done
wyoming cause im debating whether its even real at this point
The average Everybody Edits "pro" is constituted by anywhere from 90% to 95% flesh and bone, 5% to 10% pure luck and 0% skill.
i had leftover lasagna
A little something I made.
No. I dont think it is necessary to add gold borders for NPCs simply as an analogy to smiley borders
A player uses gold border to show their Gold Membership status
An NPC with a gold border would imply that NPC is special or superior in some way, while actually it is just that the world owner has gold membership
I didn't think of it as an analogy to smiley borders, but more for golden signs.
The same logic can be used for these too: they are fancier NPCs to show off the world owner's Membership, just like the golden sign.
Simple and straight forward:
NPCs should have an option to enable a gold border if you have Gold Membership.

It might be interesting if you could push against these arrows - i.e. stopped moving if you held Left while touching right-arrows.
And maybe you could fight against them (slowly) if you had the speed effect.
I thought of that mechanic too but later scrapped the idea because is that they are intended to act similar to regular gravity arrows when going against them.
Speed effect could work out but gravity acceleration is faster than speed effect, unfortunately.
what if u faal with mcuh speed into them?
Same effect as going into a bunch of gravity arrows.
