Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Unfair warning?

You received a warning and you think it wasn't fair? Have a friend or yourself post here.

Here's the process:

  1. You (or a friend) post in here, explaining why you think you didn't deserve the ban.

  2. The mods will read your post. In order to have any chance, at least 1 mod needs to agree with you.

  3. If a moderator agrees with you, they will create a case in our council.

  4. All moderators will discuss and finally have a vote on your issue.

  5. If you win, you will have your ban time lowered or removed.

Rules:

  • You have 14 days after the warning issue date to file a complaint.

  • You may not create any alt accounts to post here. (Creating multiple accounts without our permission is against the rules and will extend your ban period!)

  • When posting for a friend: make sure the post is no breaking any forum rules in order to avoid any unintentional warnings for yourself.

What to include in your post:

  • Forum username of the requester (if not yourself)

  • Warning reason and a link to the post

  • Describe why you think you didn't deserve a ban

Re: Unfair warning?

Can we just pm a mod?

ProcReply: Yes you can. Posting here simply allows you to reach all mods at the same time, instead of asking every mod personally.

Re: Unfair warning?

umm i think the cases of discussing warnings should be private between moderator team and the warned person, not visible to other forums

ProcEdit: if you feel uncomfortable discussing it with everyone you can still PM moderators individually. This topic is an additional method that you can use, because we lacked a centralized appeal topic.

A few questions, if you will…
Why? For privacy?
Why mention this now? We've discussed some cases publicly already. Were you unaware of the council's existence or simply not checking things?

Just curious. You could very well be a case in point that the council isn't visible enough.

Well, if it's public, it's more likely to stir up drama. How else are we going to get this forum active?

i mean other forumers shouldn't have any business in whether the case has to be brought up to council or not, im not talking about the case itself here
but w/e

Re: Unfair warning?

Diff why dont you use your magic internet powers to make bans not matter on this topic. (while writing this I realized that then alts could spam this however they want)

ProcpretendingtobeDiffEdit: Yeah, that's pretty much why.

Re: Unfair warning?

50,000 exclamation marks would only make it more spammy, what you posted was definitely spammy. But not too spammy which is why you only got a minor warning.

That doesn't make any sense in English, could you rephrase?

he didn't said you put 50,000, but if you did it would still be spam, you did not put too much exclamation marks so he gave you a smaller warning

There were 1725. Still spammy.

Re: Unfair warning?

friendly reminder that this topic already exists, merging

edit: your warning properly reflects what you said. Beating around the bush like that fools no one. Look at this another way. If we weren't recognizing the "standard meaning" of kys then you created a spam topic that had nothing good to share anyway. two points either way //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile

No it's not worth a warning, why would it be? It's off-topic which means you can discuss anything until it's against the forum rules.

Not worth warning, the admins were probably lazy to read the topic and just locked it based on it's name.
That's unfair!
