EDIT:
Henrik told everyone that it will happen at March 5th, 2011, 12:11 pm, and it's already 2016. I doubt it's happening.

They probably were planning to make it, took a while since other things (like functionality in existing ports) had higher priority.
By the time they got to it they probably noticed the development of HTML5 and are now probably doing most parts from scratch, because I imagine all other ports are pretty spaghettified over the years, adding extra load on the HTML5 port.
