Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

ChromeOS Rehab

Hey everyone. My name is JaWapa.

I was once a ChromeOS user.

It was a slippery slope. It was a cheap OS, new to the market. Only $50.

While using, I lost the ability to do so much. Computing was greatly limited.

I tried to find ways to regain function, while continuing to use. I began eating Croutons, and drinking a lot of Wine.
Unfortunately, it only worked for so long, and for so much.

Eventually I quit using. I broke my habits.

I switched to a new drug called W8.

But my dealer tricked me into getting W10...

I'm so ashamed //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/sad

Why would you use a mac for gaming? https://wiki.everybodyedits.com/images/c/c0/069_LOL

Because I don't game a lot and don't care about good graphic games. And I think buying a 3rd computer just for gaming is a bit too much.

But I can't really trust Windows anymore. I mean, I did, once.... THEN THEY BETRAYED ME.

Status log, June 4:
start menu still doesn't work. autorun support has also fled the coop. Windows Media Player (oops, I mean groove) decided to only allow 1 song at a time, and no play/pause skipping controls are allowed. somehow got two songs to play at once. Exiting Groove resulted in only one song playing at once. How bizarre

Re: ChromeOS Rehab

Don't use groove, just get foobar. It's a really good music player. And yeah I have trouble with the start menu as well. It works, it just takes a while to open up.

For linux users I hear audacious is pretty similar to foobar.

Re: ChromeOS Rehab

I have a problem with the windows 8 style start menu in windows 10.

All my icons are insanely huge.

Re: ChromeOS Rehab

The main problem I have with Windows 8/10 is the bland, uninspired visual style as well as the lack of customization when compared to versions like Windows XP.

It was to an extent. Microsoft published a few themes, and quite a few people published themes too. But the non-microsoft themes required modifying the system file in charge of theming since it wanted all themes to be officially signed by MS before it'd take them. Most of them are either barely changed or totally ugly by today's standards.

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aL69HePkNxo/U … review.png

Theming's somehow managed to get worse since then, though. For example, you'll screw things up if you change the color of the title bar. On inactive windows, you see how the title in the titlebar gets slightly faded? They didn't change the opacity of the text, or just the font color, they put big, slightly transparent white box on top of it when another window gets focus. So if you change the color of the title bar then whenever you have more than one window open you'll see a big ugly white strip. Some people still customize it, but they usually hide the title bar, or completely burn it down and make their own.
