Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

[US] Political Polarization in Congress

So, I wrote a paper shooting down the idea of polarization a while back... my stance was rather extreme, dropping parties entirely. But, before we get into "how do we solve the problem" let's first consider whether or not it IS an issue.

Polarization: the republicans are getting more adamant about their ideas, and the democrats are getting more adamant about their positions. This reduces cooperation and (imo) productivity in Congress.
this paper says it's on the rise... since the 80's?

Is this a problem, though?

My stance: yes. It's screwing up our system.
no, this is not my paper.
