Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Having a bot that spams a message in the chat room every time someone posts on a forum is probably not a good idea, guys. Especially since it will pick up forum games and such.
Thoughts?

I think it's handy being able to reply to a post seconds after it was made
Thank you eleizibeth ^
I stack my signatures rather than delete them so I don't lose them

This is the best idea ever. However, the bot will need more features, like commands independent for each user, to mute specific forums and even specific users, or also specific topics. Also a function to search a post via it's ID, to give the post info, like topic title, post date and author. Even an option to read the entire post by sending the message to the user via notices, changing BBCode to IRC color codes. URLs and YouTube videos not being available at the moment of reading, the link would being just given.

The bot now ignores forum games. If you don't like to receive notifications, every IRC client has a ignore function, so just ignore GregBot. Feel free to express your opinion here too: http://strawpoll.me/6220800
I have never thought of programming for reputation and honor. What I have in my heart must come out. That is the reason why I code.

If you can't find it
/ignore GregBot

My idea for it would to be only new topics, but it seems as though new replies aren't as frequent as I had originally thought.
I do like HG's ideas, though I think it would unnecessarily complicate things; commands for fetching post/topic information seems redundant.
