(Democratic/Authoritarian) Sure, if they stay out of your life, that's still an influence. Others will come, but they were allowed, disallowed, or ignored from parenting.

I confess I don't have any favorite bands or music styles like everyone does ("dood i'm so into green day!!"), and the only songs I know by name are from my favorite games.
While I grew up I was too scared of getting into a specific type of music or band because I was scared to death of people's opinions about me, which made no sense whatsoever if I think about it, buuut yeah meh.

IMO you are more influenced by your environment and by random events in life than your "personality" or whatever, so I sort of agree with you.

I'm still a firm believer in that parental thing. Further, personality stems from childhood. (imo?)
And these random events and environment also do the whole stemming for personality. It's a persona thing.

I hate minions. I hate those disgusting little yellow things. The day they all die I will finally be relieved of this banana hell. I will physically rip them apart, every last one of them. I will not stop until each and every one of those mustard boogers are destroyed, and devastated, and terminated, and eviscerated, and eradicated, and obliterated, and absolutely and completely decimated. They were mildly funny in Despicable Me. They weren't too bad in the sequel. Now ther marketing is out of hand. There are minion socks, minion burgers, minion crocs, minion umbrellas, minion Amazon packaging, minion toys. They're invading this Earth, and trying to claw their way into every inner sanctum of my mind and being. I find this disgusting, immoral, inappropriate, hellish, and altogether just utterly obnoxious, loathesome, and nauseating. I will pulverise every single one of those viruses into a finely ground dust and then disperse of them all into the fire. Hellfire.

A meaty confession indeed. Ofc, the "u srs" question is posed.

I confess that I was going to jump into an explanation as to why I feel certain motivations for mass murder/suicide can be slightly more justified than others.
I further confess that I backed out because I'm worried how other folks would react. But apparently I feel that putting it into a hypothetical situation lessens the blow. We'll see.

Then I'm further considering it. I remember this... Japanese soldiers mass murdered, raped citizens, soldiers for no apparent reason. That issue urinates me off. But for some reason I don't feel that same rage for those individuals who were in your position.

I confess I have much to consider.
