Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Recent Forum Changes

I'm sure all of you have seen the recent changes to the forum.   To sum them up, here is all we did:

- Moved the feedback category above the off-topic category.
- Merged 'forum discussion' into 'forum suggestions' and renamed it 'forum discussion'.
- Created a 'topic graveyard' and moved most locked topics in there.   (If you find a locked topic (announcements don't count) outside the graveyard, REPORT IT!)
- Create a support forum for questions about EE and the like.

We are also thinking about making a few more changes, and we'd like your opinion on them:

- Create an 'entertainment' forum to talk about anything regarding entertainment: TV, movies, and other art forms.
- Delete the introductions forum.

Post on what you think we should do and any feedback for these changes.   Thanks!

Re: Recent Forum Changes

Delete introductions, create support, maybe a whole category. 'entertainment' could be classified as off-topic, and I don't think it's worth it to create a whole new forum just for that.

Also, make a user category, 'sub-mods' or something, that can only lock and move topics. Useful for handling topic graveyard reports, amirite?

Re: Recent Forum Changes

I somewhat like the idea of mini-mods. Maybe not the same type as Jad is talking about but the concept is good.

Re: Recent Forum Changes

The introductions ARE kinda pointless...
Mind if I share how I think the forums should be?

> Underneath the Everybody Edits section have a "Forum" section
       > Forum Discussion
       > Forum Suggestions
       > Topic Graveyard
And in the off-topic category have
       > General Off-Topic
       > Off-Topic Discussions
       > Entertainment
       > Forum Games

Since there are a LOT of topics about off-topic discussions, it would be a good idea to have a new   category designed just for it.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Re: Recent Forum Changes

I mean, it's nice to know that you exist, but, honestly, if you're a serious "forumer" we'd see you around a lot and get to know you that way.

I personally like the introductions section, think we should keep that... Don't really have a reason other than my person opinion.
And the sub mods would be cool , but i think un-necessary..

Maybe, but no. I don't think that would come to much use

Sure. I never look at the Introductions.

Delete the introductions forum.

I just went to see. So I think it is good to eliminate.

Create a support forum for questions about EE and the like.

Why not create a FAQ page?

Regular mods could do all submods could do and ban, submods wouldn't have the power to ban or warn but they could do some cleanup, so perhaps, janitors?   Makes sense.

Post count has nothing to do with how necessary it is to have an introductions forum. Apart from giving you more posts, the forum is pretty much useless. That's just my opinion, though. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

Yeah, I can't imagine an entertainment section to be too busy, it might have a few posts...

EDIT: Dang... what was I going to say...

Oh yeah did the PM Mailbox get A LOT more room in it?
