Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

There was no voting involved. I suggested Jakery and everyone agreed and we agreed on a back up mod in case Jakery didn't want the job.

Oh, well I was assuming this because I've seen a few admins saying "He had my vote"

Don't worry about it.
Congratz jakery, different55, and EDJ!
I've been away recently and therefore haven't had the chance to congratulate Jakery, Chewy and EDJ for their promotions, so without further ado; congratulations to the three of you!
I have a semi-off-topic question:
Why aren't the "Universal Mods'" names next to the EE Announcements and the Forum Announcements? Not enough room?
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Well I really don't think that's the place to put this. It's supposed to be like that so people can't troll as easy.

Congratulations all.
Sorry for the off-topic post, but... Is there a voting section on mods?? Oh god I'd like to vote for the next mod!
Ugh, you couldn't just make another topic? No there isn't.

Why does that rule exist? It's really counterproductive. Imaginge if one really good guy, let's pretend this good guy was Jakery. Jakery really helps out at the forums and etcetera, but if he would have shown interest in being a moderater, his chanced would reduce dramatically.
I know that it's the mods and admins that are supposed to confer about whom should become mod, and then ask that specific person if he's/she's interested. But what is the bad thing in telling you mods/admins that "Hey, I could be a mod if you need one!"?
I think the rule really goes to new people who just join and want to be a mod.
