I was under the impression that Allen was the Jester, and honestly just didn't think to send Task to someone that was more likely safe.

I just figured no matter what it would be safer in that scenario to leave someone alive who Allen could be harmlessly directed to. Those whispers were to Jawapa, you and Jawapa, and you and Jawapa.
