Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Why some topics are tagged as not safe in the browser?

nKh9Yxz.gif

It seems to be random, no visible pattern.

Re: Why some topics are tagged as not safe in the browser?

What's the:
- URL
- Browser
- Message when you click on the !

I'm assuming that whatever browser you're using has changed how they define 'not secure', usually:
- Secure means everything uses https
- Not secure means either the HTML or JS is loaded over http, which means that attackers could spoof any part of the page
- Partially secure means some things like images might not be secure, but that doesn't usually matter as long as you don't use the contents of the image, such as scanning a QR code

(So whatever browser you use has probably decided to also say 'not secure' for partially secure pages)

Images without https in the loadscreen archive are what make it not secure

Also one of the reasons some sites have a proxy that all images go through.

If JavaScript loaded over Http , it does have a chance to be exposed at hacking or malicious posts . This forum won't be longer secured by forum developers . In the case would be resolved in the new EE forum ( The EEU one) .

Yes, loading JavaScript over http is 100% insecure, but I'm pretty sure the forums don't do that, only images, which aren't dangerous as they're all obviously user generated content anyway, so it's not like you could trick someone with an "oh noes, your account was hacked, send your password here to fix it" image or whatever.

tl;dr: This is just Chrome being overly cautious, the forums aren't doing anything wrong.

Yes, the forums are completely secure. Chrome flips out over any resource being loaded over HTTP, in this case it's all images in signatures or posts. No actually critical resources are being loaded over HTTP.

In short, when see a yellow dot in the topic section, it means that the topic is unsafe

What I know does the forum only show yellow circles when new posts are made.
