Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: whats up with id=0 and id=1

If I recall correctly id=0 is reserved for guests. I don't know what id=1 is.

Because you are a guest at the moment of installing the forum.

Because you are a guest at the moment of installing the forum.

does that mean the id=1 is a kind of constant value for all the guests currently browsing the forum or every guest gets a new id and it just happened to be what you have said in the 2nd quote?

Every guest user has an ID of 1. You don't get an actual ID until you register.

No no, let's not do that. What you're doing will enable step 2 of the great guest uprising.

Re: whats up with id=0 and id=1

A guest is simply an user with no access to it's own profile settings.

At the moment of creating a forum (or what you call "sub-forum"), you can toggle what users can do there (read posts, create topics, create replies).
By default, guests are only given the "read posts" privilege, but that can be changed.

The perfect example of why guests can't see the Forum Games forum is because the forum has the "read posts" option for guests disabled.
