Why can't links get a color?

I want to color link, but it doesn't let me //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/sad

What do you mean?

The *color* tag does its job.
(color=insert-your-#hex-color-or-name)random stuff(/color) but with brackets
The URL tag underlines and colors the links to fit the theme.
