Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

The unity update will fail to keep new people around for long, if the only main difference is the fact that the game is made in Unity, and some UI changes.
How do you think being on Steam will affect that game?
There will be a popularity spike, then it will drop over the course of a month or a few months, with only a small part staying.
Free games on Steam get a lot of attention over a long time, for as long as EE stays open there will be a lot of people trying it out and staying.
What I mean, is that the new players will have a hard time getting set up with EE. The name of the game itself kinda misleads them thinking they can edit as much as they want, but in reality, passwords in worlds everywhere. Open worlds still exist, but you are lucky if you find any with more than 3 people inside.
Then there is the shop. It's so massive it would take them at least a year to get every free stuff, and let's be honest, noone wants to pay ~500$ for blocks and smilies (and 500$ doesn't even buy the whole shop).
The campaigns aren't a piece of cake either for new players, sure, there are rather easy ones, but for the bigger part of the campaigns, players are just going to get frustred because even some the veterans can't beat the difficult ones.
When the game was launched as we used to know it, it was new-user-friendly. Even the shop prices used to be low when it was introduced. I still remember the coy smiley being 110 energy. And I was happy to buy it instantly. It is not new-user-friendly anymore, and while there is a tutorial to help them, as soon as they see the cluster of things they have to get to be even remotely close to actually build good worlds. They can do it with basic blocks, but won't appreciate it compared to current worlds which make use of most blocks.
