Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: [Plan] Operation Reach Out

I suggest Everybody Edits have a weekly special, where the Energy Shop gets things hugely on sale, or even items that are limited and appear only during the weekly sales that gets players logging in and getting these cool things.

Another thing is logging on every single day of the week to unlock "weekly, daily" rewards where on Day 1, you receive nothing, on Day 2 for logging on in a row you receive 1 max Energy, on Day 3 for logging on in a row, you receive 1 max Energy as well, on Day 4 for logging on in a row, you receive 1 Gem, on Day 5 for logging on in a row, you receive 3 max Energy, on Day 6 for logging on in a row, you receive 5 max Energy, then on Day 7 for logging on in a row, you get 3 Gems. Then, there is no Day 8 because it restarts the daily cycle. If you skip a day of logging on, you restart the cycle as well. This system takes players into thinking that it's good to log on every day //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

The Gem part is why players will want to log in!

Re: [Plan] Operation Reach Out

1. Advocates players to play the game more often as Itsmeandersonlol has mentioned
give them rewards if they play the game few days a row (increase daily)

2. Link the game to social platform, let it expand by itself
bT6aYp1.png
HXRuM7L.pngthis step is compulsory in a lot games which successfully expands it's user base
This step can attract more new players to the game

3. Get more visits to EE's facebook/ youtube page
Cw20X7R.png
Give players rewards if they like the facebook page or something

Re: [Plan] Operation Reach Out

Hehe facebook another reason why i dropped some games, i think its just annoying if ppl who are willing to acept facebooks TOS get more gems over other ppl who rather don't use social features.

Also i dont think its a good idea to connect ee to a social platform at all.

Not sure about every week.  But once/twice a month, or something for holidays would definitely work.

@Goey - giving people gems for liking/subscribing/whatever is being planned.  Building the game on social media would be great.  Keeps people engaged more, given that we update the pages often.

EDIT: what if we gave gems/max-energy to people for getting a certain amount of plays/woots in their world.  It gives people more of an incentive to build.

But the thing which goey gave was like "300" diamonds. That's too OP, if you ask me. If you had that kind of thing going on, everybody would own every classic block in the shop... FOR FREE

So, here's my opinion:
Yeah rewards, good thing. Not too OP. (tooop lol)

In my opinion:
Minimum: 2 gem each
Maximum: 8 gems each

I'm telling x gems each, so if you are tweeting, liking AND subscribing on a max, it's like you hit the jackpot. 24 gems.
At least for me it's a jackpot, cuz I've never owned a single paid-only game currency in my life.

Anyways, if you wanna get a reasonable prize, go for 4 gems each, for tweeting, liking and subscribing.

I like the idea of it, but I believe that the rewards should be more spaced out. And maybe a two week cycle with two day spaced rewards? I don't know if that's good, it's just an idea

I'd have to disagree, primarily because of this.

What kurtv13 said. I think giving people an incentive to build is great, but not by basing it off woots and plays mainly because you can manipulate those, and giving rewards for those statistics would cause more people to abuse it more because they realize they could get something from it.

Re: [Plan] Operation Reach Out

On the subject of getting rewards from making levels, maybe if you changed the "Featured" list more you could get rewards for being featured...

Re: [Plan] Operation Reach Out

Although slightly off topic, I think a good update would be adding players by username rather than e-mail.(as suggested by tons of other players)
1. Some players used fake e-mails or don't like giving out their e-mails.
2. You guys and/or playerio can't seem to fix the friend bug, so why not just take e-mails out of it if it gives you that much trouble?

I used a fake e-mail to register, and have added dozens of players just fine.

Re: [Plan] Operation Reach Out

@alkazam1448 - of course.  Our plan was never to give away blocks/smileys... well.. kinda.

ZeldaXD wrote:

It would be optional, and we wouldn't push for it.

@blizzard - so much spam.  And an option to turn off friend requests is kind of pointless.  We are debating a few other ideas for this.

@n1kf - I don't think everyone realizes you can use any email to add friends, it doesn't have to be the one you used to register.

Re: [Plan] Operation Reach Out

To give an incentive to build things, what about semi weekly challenges with rewards of max energy and gems or such? That way, people would be rewarded from making good levels and guest or wootbombs won't let people get free stuff.

What do you mean by normal energy? Like an energy refill as a reward?

Giving +max energy is not a good thing. There are magic coins for that already( i know they are hard to find //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/neutral ) .
I agree with Muftwin refilling energy is way better idea.

Re: [Plan] Operation Reach Out

The problem with refilling energy is that people might already have energy at max when the reward is given.

That's why you should spend your energy before you do anything else.

Or it could just ask you to spend your energy before pressing the reward button. ( Prevents you to press it )

Re: [Plan] Operation Reach Out

A button to claim rewards would certainly fix that problem. Then, the contests could have small rewards like the energy refill and maybe something else. The only other problem with this is that judging the contests might take time away from making updates.

Re: [Plan] Operation Reach Out

What about if you gain energy faster when you are playing?

I guess it would be difficult to determine whether someone is actually online or just left their account on, but you could always do "up to an hour of play" or something then your energy reloads twice as fast.
