[NOTICE] Everybody Edits and Chrome

We are well aware of EE not loading (this time).  It appears that the problems are coming from Chrome.  Unfortunately, there isn't anything we can do at the moment.  If you are experiencing problems try using a different web browser.

This is for people who play on the main site, and on Kongregate!

Maybe try playing EE on a different website... if that doesn't work than try a different browser.

Maybe put accounts on ee.com instead if kong *sigh* cant be done...

I'm on a chromebook on chrome browser and it works fine.

Same and it works for me.  But chromebook's browser is a bit different from what people download.

It might be an extension too.  But chrome keeps blocking data and being a pain

I'm not sure if everyone's having the same problem I am, but I found a solution that involves disabling pepflash, which is the flash chrome has installed. You might have to force an installation of flash that isn't inside chrome.

chrome:plugins

find pepflash

disable, go to ee, allow it to work (button should be near the starred bookmark thing)

I know the fix if you want to play on the website and use chrome:
1. Download latest flash
2. When it is done type in "about://plugins" in the address bar without the quotation marks
3. You should be taken to a plugins page, click details so that it shows more details (duh)
4. Scroll down and find flash
5. There should be two of them (if not try re-downloading flash)
6. Look at the location of both of them, one should say something like "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\41.0.2272.118\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll"
7. Disable the flash that has this location and restart chrome.
8. Play EE and have fun!:)

EDIT: Just realized that zoey already posted this fix :/ Well I have steps so take that!

I never use pepper flash. I have the flash that you download and it doesn't work.
If I enable pepper flash then it will be like:
Loads ee fine
30-45 sec later
lag and i cant move

Internet explorer: for old people who don't know how to use a computer
firefox does this to me:

Also it eats up a lot of data
Chrome has been the browser I've used for a long time and never failed except now...

pepflash is terribly laggy

flash 16 is the current version from adobe which is npapi (an old type of plugin), likely phased out by chrome already for some things

when flash 17 is released it will be fixed but until then you can download the flash 17 beta from adobe

A full cache clear was the only thing that fixed the problem for me. Chrome uses a special version of flash, called pepper flash, which has extra APIs built in, so the browser has more control over the flash object and its permissions. It doesn't seem to be very stable from time to time, messing up some of the settings.

i know this problem now. we cant play EE on 2 tabs,and even bots cannot even connect to world now.
