Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I don't really like the random worlds idea. You could end up with a random empty world and that's quite boring. Personally, I think it would be cool to have a combination of random worlds which are the most wooted and played of the day :0 That would usually ensure that the worlds would be pleasing looking and most likely meet the aesthetic of everyone

why would anyone want to have 200 minigames as a background
also most of the wooted and played levels are stairs, minigames, free code levels and other horrible levels
but i didnt play this game since december of last year so i wouldnt know much

Re: EE Main Website Backgrounds

That's not how it works.  It doesn't load worlds from a database.

It loads a random picture.  Currently there are 4.

Re: EE Main Website Backgrounds

Is there a way to have the option to set preferences for these or something? I like simple dark backgrounds and get annoyed when a pastel one or a detailed one shows up. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

Re: EE Main Website Backgrounds

I agree Badoosh. Also, is there a way to just have EE the game on the page, so when I try to scroll it scrolls the chat instead of the entire page? I have no need to be reminded how to report someone nor do I need to find information about the game.

Re: EE Main Website Backgrounds

I've been working on a way to cycle through them, and save a preference with cookies.

@Bee - I could possibly make everything on the page disappear when you darken the page.

EDIT: the problem with that is people dislike the game being so high.

Re: EE Main Website Backgrounds

I could probably leave the game where it is, and just make everything go away.  There would be a random space at the top of the page, but I don't see that being a huge issue.

Re: EE Main Website Backgrounds

I haven't came across the first link.  I seen the mouse trapping thing a lot, just not that one.  Not sure why I didn't even think of it.

I know the other stuff.

EDIT: the first thing worked great! the only problem I ran into was everything sliding left-right when the scroll bar disappears.

Re: EE Main Website Backgrounds

You really shouldn't be using multi-megabyte PNGs as backgrounds.

General reasons: slow load time for slower connections, and of course, someone is paying for that bandwidth on the server end too.

Re: EE Main Website Backgrounds

Worlds like this are more mini map art, from what I've seen they are looking for level art.

There isn't a single image on the website that is over 1MB.  The biggest is 915KB.

Really? Image 5 shows as being over 2MB.  150-250KB should really be the max you're shooting for anyway.

Re: EE Main Website Backgrounds

@Sxerks - Yeah, caches keep going wonky on the website.  At one point I accidentally uploaded the 2MB image, then shrunk it down and reuploaded.  It should be fixed now.  If not, clear your cache.
